The Finance Department manages the financial affairs of the District Assembly, ensuring transparent, accountable and prudent management of all public funds in accordance with the Public Financial Management Act.
Mandate
Manage the financial affairs of the Assembly with transparency, accountability and prudent stewardship of public resources.
Core Activities & Services
- Maintaining accurate financial records and accounts for the Assembly.
- Processing and managing payments for all Assembly expenditures.
- Coordinating internal revenue collection across the district.
- Preparing financial statements, management accounts and annual reports.
- Ensuring compliance with PAYE, VAT and other statutory deductions.
- Coordinating external audits and responding to audit queries.
- Managing the Assembly's bank accounts and cash flow.
