District Planning & Coordinating Unit
Under Section 84 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), the DPCU serves as the central planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation body for all developmental activities within the District Assembly.
Mandate
Serve as the central planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluation body for all developmental activities in the District.
Core Activities & Services
- Formulating Development Plans: preparation of the District Medium-Term Development Plan (DMTDP) and Annual Action Plans.
- Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): tracking implementation of all projects and programmes.
- Data Collection and Research: conducting socio-economic surveys and demographic analysis.
- Budget Harmonization: ensuring direct link between planning and budgeting.
- Reporting and Compliance: preparing quarterly and annual progress reports for submission to RCC and NDPC.
