Procurement Unit
The Procurement Unit at THLDDA is responsible for acquiring all public goods, works and services. Operating under the Public Procurement Act 663 & amended Act 914, it ensures all purchases provide value for money, transparency and accountability.
Mandate
Acquire public goods, works and services in a manner that ensures value for money, transparency, fairness and non-discrimination in accordance with the Public Procurement Act.
Core Activities & Services
- Procurement planning: drafting specifications and preparing the Annual Procurement Plan.
- Tender Management: drafting tender documents and advertising bid opportunities.
- Evaluation & Selection: reviewing bids and ensuring fair vendor selection.
- Contract Administration: overseeing execution of contracts for district projects.
- Vendor Registration: managing the database of local suppliers and contractors.
- Asset management & Disposal: overseeing stores and asset disposal.
- Compliance & Reporting: submitting Annual Assessment Reports to PPA.
