The Public Employment Centre is responsible for the administration of the Labour Act 2003 (Act 651) and the Workmen's Compensation Act 1987 (Act 187). It is a centre for promoting Decent Work and Productive Employment for All.
Mandate
Promote decent work and productive employment for all residents of the district through placement services, labour inspections and dispute resolution.

- Resolving Industrial Related Disputes.
- Issuance of Labour Clearance Certificates to contractors.
- Skill Development and Training.
- Labour Inspection at Workplaces to enforce labour standards.
