Information Services Department (ISD)
The Information Services Department (ISD), founded in 1939, is the mouthpiece of the government. It disseminates information on government policies, programmes and activities to the public.
Mandate
Create awareness on government policies, programmes and activities and promote Ghana's marketing agenda through effective communication strategies.
Core Activities & Services
- Providing adequate and accurate information on government policies to the public through audio-visual aids and publications.
- Sending feedback from the public about government policies and activities to government.
- Undertaking public education campaigns on topical national and local issues.
- Projecting and defending the country's image.
- Providing public address services at all public functions.
- Providing public relations support to other ministries, departments and agencies.
